Elyse L. Postlewaite, Ph. D., is a postdoctoral researcher at the Institute for Research on Youth Thriving and Evaluation at Montclair State University. She studies child and adolescent thriving and optimal development in formal and informal education settings. She believes in the capacities of every individual and that optimal development, self-determination, and fulfillment are unique to each person. As a former Montessori student, Dr. Postlewaite is also passionate about promoting a deeper understanding of Montessori through research.
