I am the director of Formative Leadership Education, a project funded by the Kern Family Foundation, at Boston College. In this role, I catalyze a network of organizations and institutions that are in the process of implementing formative character education. I coordinate the national convenings, facilitate working groups, organize retreats, and edit the KPCEL Newsletter: Voices of Character.

Our approach to this work is collaborative, communal, and distributed. As a steward of an emerging network, I am mindful of the fact that learning occurs when small groups of people have multiple opportunities to work together.
